Jill and Nick were planning their wedding and realized they didn't have a lot of money to spend on invitations and the associated postage that goes with mailing, RSVP, etc.
We proposed an out-of-the-box, economical solution. We could design a nice looking postcard, that would be inexpensive to print, and would save on postage since they would be able to utilize the standard postcard postage rate. Instead of using a standard return mail RSVP card, we created a website for the couple.
The website URL was printed on both sides of the postcard invitation, and directed users to the site to fill out a simple form that then emailed the happy couple the results of all their proposed guests.
We also figured that since we were building a website, why not give the people on the guest list a closer look at the couple. We also included standard address information, their plans for after the wedding and of course some photo.
This has proved to be a very successful solution, and there were no problem reported from anyone who used the site to rsvp. Of course, there's still those people who just don't ever rsvp - no matter how simple we make it!
